Australia’s First Online Leaders Debate
In 2016 Malcom Turnbull and Bill shorten went head-to-head in the first online leaders’ debate that was hosted by Facebook and News.com.au. The Facebook Live format enabled Australians to participate in real time via their smartphones allowing them to contribute and engage with the leaders directly.
Our Friends Electric was briefed on the Monday and the leaders debate took place on the Friday at Facebooks Australian HQ in Sydney.
